First Week In New Home
I settled into my new home. There was Christmas tree up in the big room in a corner. I saw decorations too but most were high above and I was pass chewing stage. I remember one day sneaking underneath the tree. My owner has pictures of me. But, my owner countless times said I shouldn’t be going under there as I would knock it down. I also remember my owner got a cage for me. I didn’t really like it much except when a blanket was on top. My owner tried to encourage me to go in it. Only did when the vacuum cleaner was on because I was scare of it. I didn’t realize that was where I would be all day when my owner finally went back to “work” the following week from Christmas vacation. I didn’t say a word or even bark. I was a silent dog. Why should I vocalize when I didn’t have anything to woof about. My owner put me on a schedule and we have pretty much stuck to it for past 9 years. My owner got to know me. I wasn’t much for cuddling since I didn’t grow up that way. I was clingy when we outside for walks and business. Since it was winter walks were short. I was given treats outside when I did my business and praise. I started opening up to my owner when they attempted to play with me. It awhile to get use to petting. I started enjoying my time looking out the different windows. There was lake, wild animals, cars and people out there. My grandma brought over a bed for me. My owner would add a blanket to it. I would paw at it to make it comfortable before laying down in bedroom when going to sleep. It was a great week until “work” started back for my owner. I will tell what happen in another post later about being in a cage when my owner went off to “work”.
