Going To The Vet
In past two days after my first Christmas with my new family, my owner took me to the vet. I went in a little nervously and had to wait for my name to be called. A young lady came in asked my owner to weight me. I was brought over to a scale and stepped on it. They tried to get me stay which was difficult. But, after few tries they got me to stay. I came in at about 40lbs. I am not what that means but I was probably a little underweight. What can you expect from dog living on the streets. Then we went into a room and waiting some more. The lady came back and started poking me everywhere. Checked my mouth, my belly, my legs, my ears and who knows what else. Then the vet doc came in. I found out the lady was the vet tech which is an assistant to vet doc. Doc talked with my owner on what was going to happen. I was going to be given shots. A couple of needles stood on the table. The doc took my leash and I slid across the floor. I didn’t want to have anything poking me, not even those needles. But, oh she had a treat in her hand. I like treats. Treats are my weak spot. She got me and with the help of the tech injected the needles into my fur. It didn’t seem to hurt much which was good. I was given a treat after for being a good girl. Doc told my owner when the next shots would be. I didn’t know if I would like coming back. It was OK. But I will tell you what happen that made me not like going to vet again in another post.

My name is Chelsey. I am a 50lb, mix mutt of German Shepherd/Akita/Chow-chow. I am quiet and shy around new people and places. I am model but not professionally yet. I love to help my owner write and take photos. (Note from owner: Chelsey recently passed away Nov.19th 2018)
