First Christmas With New Family

Now that Christmas Eve was over I could relax from all the new faces I saw. I was still not sure what was going on around me. A new place, new humans, I didn’t know what to except. I manage to get to sleep. My new owner slept nearby so I knew everything would be OK. I woke the next morning still a little sleepy. My owner took me out to do my business and they were pretty excited. After finishing what I had to do we went back inside. Then my owner lead me to a room I didn’t know existed yet. There was tree with things in it. I wasn’t allow to get close to it. There were objects around which I found out later were presents wrapped up to give to other people (and pets). One area had big huge looking socks filled with stuff. I walk in with my owner. But, didn’t want go all the way in. So, my owner sat near me as they opened their presents. I just watched taking in what would be my first Christmas. Then, mom (grandmas to me) came over with an oversize sock. She gave to my owner and said it was for me. I looked at the sock (stocking) and it had dog bones on it. Inside there was few things for me or for my owner to use on me. She also gave me a present or two, which unfortunately I can’t remember now. It was overwhelming morning. Later after opening presents they had breakfast. I wasn’t allow any of it unless it was a biscuit. I had time later to ponder this new life. I thought this is not so bad. These humans are nice and I could learn to trust them. In the end I decided to stay and not escape unless given the opportunity.
