Going Home and Christmas Eve
I woke up from my long nap today and thought I should tell what happened after my new owner got me home. Well, first I didn’t go straight to my owner home. I was still groggy from my surgery. My owner drove up to what I would consider my second home. This was where my owner refer to as Grandma’s house. So, I became the first great-grand dog. Nice, lady with curly gray hair. Will talk about great-grandma later. I got out the car a little wobbly. Sniffed around the yard some and did my business. My owner’s mom who becomes my grandma took photos of me and my owner. You should see those images. I look like I blend in the snow. I was almost all white. So, after checking out the outside my owner took me inside. I was greeted warmly. But, I was pretty scared. I was given a water bowl and a food bowl near the the space where I found out is where other dogs had used. My new owner sat down near me and stroked my fur. I was getting itchy underneath where the stitches were. But, my owner would never let me touch that area. I was tired, I was given a blanket which was great. I curled up and went to sleep. Oh, yea by the way this was few days before Christmas Eve.
I woke later to find out that we would be having company the day or two before the big holiday. I didn’t know what to except. I was going be meeting the rest of the family. That first night of what I remember my owner slept with me. Owner on couch and me on floor. I was restricted to living room and kitchen. That first night I made an accident. But only because I was in a new place. Everyone forgave me.
Next day they got ready for the Christmas Eve. I chilled around, still not feeling well. My owner started getting routine for me. potty break, breakfast, outside again, later dinner, before bed back outside. I found out my owner took a few days off to be with me. So, lets cut to the day of Christmas Eve. Since lots of people were going to be coming over they decided to put me upstairs. The sister, carried my up to her bedroom. I was given a blanket, water and toys. Both my owner and sister stayed with me while I met the family. Two or three at a time the door would open. They coo and ah. I was nervous and wanted to go hide somewhere. Then my owner’s uncles and other males saw me. That was when I had enough. I started shaking because they were scary. All I know is that prior to my new life some male must of abused me. I started to get up and hide under the bed. That is how my owner found out about one of my issues. They sooth me and I clung closer to my owner. With that I meet the family. I was left alone while the humans had their festivities. My owner checked in before they went off to church and I did my business. While they were gone I was able to collect my thoughts. This might not be to bad. I wouldn’t be seeing the guys to much and besides the females out ranked them quite a lot. So, I decided I would stay. I liked my new owner. So, that is the first meeting of the extended family and my first Christmas Eve. I’ll talk about Christmas Day later. For now I am tired of typing and I have to get ready for my owner who is coming home soon.
